The Techno-Classica Salon 2026 is taking place from September 24 to September 27, 2026, marking a monumental shift as the world’s premier classic car exhibition permanently relocates to Messe Dortmund. After a historic 43-year run at its traditional home in Essen, the event organizer, SIHA, has completely re-envisioned the format under the new banner “The World Classic Car Salon”.
This transition comes as Messe Essen permanently replaces Techno-Classica with a rival classic car event, Retro Classics Essen, which occupied the April slot. The newly adapted format in Dortmund focuses on premium-quality trading, internationality, and sustainability, optimizing over 50,000 square meters across Halls 3 to 8.
